Maria Perdomo-Torres, LCSW-S, is a board-designated LCSW supervisor in the state of Texas and provides group and individual supervision for Licensed Master Social Workers wanting to start or continue earning hours towards their LCSW license.

Clinical Supervision FAQ's

  • Maria has been a licensed clinical social worker since 2011, and employed in the mental health field since 2001. She has worked with a variety of client populations, from children to seniors, military families, members of the LGTBQ+ community, and people of various ethnic backgrounds. Her experience includes inpatient psychiatric care, outpatient mental health services, community and agency work, home health case management, and telehealth private practice. Maria’s specialty areas include anxiety, depression, relational trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, and/or relationship challenges.  

  • You are required to attend a minimum of 1 hour of clinical supervision per every 40 hours worked, which typically means a commitment of 4 hrs per month for full-time eligible employment.

  • The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council – Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners, require LMSW’s to complete a total of 100 hours of clinical supervision and a total of 3,000 approved work hours in no less than 24 months, before being eligible to sit for the ASWB clinical licensure exam.

  • Your current employment may qualify as professional clinical experience if the setting allows you to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions using DSM-V diagnostic criteria for a minimum of 4 hours per week. Per the Board’s requirements, it is the responsibility of the clinical supervisor to determine if your employment qualifies as professional clinical experience.

  • No; supervision sessions take place via Zoom. Maria can supervise any LMSW working in the state of Texas.

  • Group Session Rate: $80/hour or $160 for each 2-hour session ($320 per month).

    Individual Session Rate: $100 for each 1-hour session.
